The two, separate draws conducted by the province of British Columbia saw 276 candidates being issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) by December 21, 2016.
The recipients consist of foreign workers, graduates, and entrepreneurs. A significant fraction of them was from the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), a unique scheme under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) that allows the province to select potential candidates across a range of sub-categories. Only thirteen of the applicants who received an ITA were from the Entrepreneur Immigration stream selection pool.
