Samsung 860 QVO QLC SSD Is Spotted at Retailers in Europe


In early August, NAND flash memory magnate, Samsung, announced the start of the mass production industry's first 4-bit 4 TB SSD for consumers. And this SSD uses SATA interface, the maximum capacity can reach 4TB and adopts 64-layer fourth-generation 1Tb V-NAND.

On the Tech Day in October, Samsung took the stage and announced its SSD roadmap. One of the key elements of that roadmap was the project: launch QLC (quad-level cell) SSDs, including 860 QVO, 980 QVO series.

According to Samsung, QVO stands for "Quality and Value Optimized". That is to say, this company will offer customers SSDs with high quality and low price.
