Many Windows 7 Users Still Refuse to Upgrade to Windows 10

Although Windows 7 is nearing its end (Jan 14, 2020), a decade after the OS was launched, many users do not appear to want to give up this operating system.

According to a report from NetMarketShare on statistics for the desktop OS market in April, Windows 7 owns an astonishing 36.43% of the market share.

Actually, Windows 7 barely dropped at all, moving from 36.52% in March to 36.43% for April, a change of just 0.09%. So far, that is not even a half percentage point drop throughout the whole year.

During the same period, Windows 10 has accounted for 44.1% of the desktop OS market, a small improvement over 43.62% of the market share last month.
