Have you found your PC is acting a little wonky of late, for example, delay shut down? It could be caused by a newly released bug that affects how long it takes a computer running a particular version of Windows 10 to shut down or go into sleep mode.
Microsoft has confirmed this problem on its Tech Community website and states sometimes the delay could be as long as 60 seconds, namely one minute.
An employee of Microsoft, Philip Froese gives an explanation to the Windows 10 delay shutdown. The main reason for this is a bug in Intel's USB Type-C Connector System Software Interface (UCSI) software. This Windows 10 USB-C bug specifically impacts October 2018 Update, version 1809.
