I Do have Enough Free Space But Cannot Copy a File?


In many cases when you copy a large file, even there are enough free space on the drive to hold this file, you receive a warning message saying “there is not enough free space on the drive”. Seems strange?

In fact, this error message is very similar with the “file xxx is too large for the destination file system”. This error code is more clear than not enough free space warning. So they both prompt the same situation: you are copy a single file larger than 4GB to a hard drive employing FAT32 file system.
