The minimum salary requirement for Tier 2 sponsor licence holder has increased by almost 20 percent in the new set of changes announced by the UK immigration office.

For Tier 2 - General Visa, the new salary threshold has increased from £20,800 to £25,000. This amount will be increased to £30,000 by April 2017. Nonetheless, the salary threshold for applications from New Entrants to the Tier 2 visa category will remain at £20,800. New Entrants, as defined by the UK Home Office, are the Tier 2 - General visa applicants who are either under 26 years of age, are switching from a Tier 4 visa, or have been employed through a milk round recruitment process or have been recruited by companies at school.
