6-carboxy derivatives of tetramethylrhodamine is one of the most convenient compounds of Xanthene fluorescent dye tetramethylrhodamine. 6-Carboxytetramethylrhodamine is a long-wavelength dye. Besides that, it also can be used for labeling of biomolecules, e.g., DNA, PNA, and peptides.
