On July 4, 2016, the federal government and the premiers of the Atlantic region struck a deal to enhance Atlantic Canada’s economy by supporting innovation and resource-based enterprises and augmenting job-creation and availability. The deal, called the Atlantic Growth Strategy, is divided into several phases.
