Importance of DICOM Calibration for Medical Displays


DICOM is the standardized regulation for maintaining the color prospects of medical display monitors. These include x-ray monitors, radiology, CT Scans, and more. Regulated by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR), DICOM 14 recently provided strict guidelines for the calibration of grayscale in medical images for all monitors.
