Why are Women More Prone to Osteoporosis Than Men?


Osteoporosis is a common health issue, affecting millions of Americans today. This condition can affect anyone, both men and women, however women are more prone to osteoporosis than men. According to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, osteoporosis statistics showed that one in every two women over the age 50 would have osteoporosis-related fracture in their lifetime, compared to a bone density loss of only one-fourth in men.
