Shakib Al Hasan ruled out of CWC23: Bangladesh has suffered a big blow. Shakib Al Hasan is out of the World Cup the very next day after his time out dispute with Angelo Mathews against Sri Lanka. He was successful in single-handedly helping Bangladesh win many matches in the 2019 World Cup. Batting brilliantly in 8 matches, he scored 606 runs in 8 matches at an average of 86.57. Was the third-best batsman. Also took 11 wickets. Everyone was praising him, congratulating him, but in the 2023 World Cup, he took a decision which left a big stain on his career. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, who came into limelight due to a decision in the World Cup 2023, has been ruled out of the tournament. Due to the injury of his left index finger, he will not be able to play in the team’s last match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Shakib suffered the injury while batting in Bangladesh’s final league stage game against Sri Lanka in Delhi on 6 November 2023. This is a big blow for Bangladesh, because it has to play Australia in the last match.The fracture was confirmed by X-ray after the game, ruling him out of Bangladesh’s final match of the tournament against Australia on 11 November in Pune. National team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan gave more details about the injury. He said- Shakib Al Hasan suffered an injury on his left index finger at the beginning of his innings, but he continued batting with supportive tape and painkillers.
He further said in his statement – After the match, he had an emergency X RAY in Delhi which confirmed a fracture in the left PIP joint. Recovery is expected in 3 to 4 weeks. He left for Bangladesh on 6 November to begin his rehabilitation. Shakib Al Hasan played a match-winning inning of 82 runs in 65 balls with the help of 12 fours and 2 sixes and led his team to a 3-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
